First-hand experience of the retirement process
Chris knows how difficult it can be for his clients to make the transition from work life into retirement, as he retired in 2002 from a 26-year career at Abbott Laboratories, having held manager positions in the U.S. and internationally. As a senior financial advisor, Chris provides counseling to help his clients visualize and work toward a successful retirement, including identifying their needs, establishing spending goals, and preparing a financial plan that will keep them on track to their desired futures.
An avid fly fisherman and wilderness rafting adventurer, Chris has plans to take his fly rod to the Kamchatka Peninsula in Russia, home to some of the largest rainbow trout in the world. When he is not on a raft or a bike or hiking up a mountain, he and his wife, Linda, spend much of their time supporting cancer charities and raising money for cancer research. Chris is in the process of easing toward retirement and will be reducing his office time. His son, John, shares a passion for the outdoors and is working in the outdoor equipment industry. His daughter, Lynde, is making (digital radio) waves at Pandora.
