Helping nice people make great financial decisions

My Role

I love helping really nice people make great decisions with their money. It’s refreshing to wake up every day and bring clarity to the financial lives of those I work with. Many of these individuals are members of our local tech community, where I help structure savings strategies around RSU/stock grant compensation, reduce tax bills, and leverage corporate benefits to meet short and long-term needs. I also have a quirky passion for Social Security planning.

As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER Professional and a CFA Charterholder working at a fee-only fiduciary, I’m incredibly proud of the work we do. When I joined Avier in 2010 I knew I was where I belonged, and I’m excited to help lead the firm going forward.

My Story

Growing up in Ballard and having lived in Seattle my whole life, I have a huge affinity for the Pacific Northwest. In the summer I live out my George Steinbrenner dream by sponsoring my own Ballard Little League team – the Ballard Nordics. As a former manager of the UW Women’s Basketball and UW Baseball teams, I’m often found sporting the purple and gold and rooting for my Huskies.

Travel is also a huge obsession – let me know if you have any hidden gems or favorite locales. To date I’ve visited 31 countries and have no plans to slacken the pace.

Fun fact: In 2016 I was a cast member on Season 7 of Alt For Norge, one of the highest rated reality TV shows in Norway.
